My Timeless Beauty Life – More than a way to sell Avon Online
I started dreaming about my very own Timeless Beauty life when I married my husband and began a life that involved two bonus children. I started dreaming bigger when my daughter Lauren was born and we took our very first vacation as a family to Disney World. After that trip, I was hooked and I wanted to take vacations twice a year.
I don’t know if you know this or not, but traveling with three kids can get expensive! Especially when you have a Disney Habit like I do. So I needed to find a way to make a little extra cash on the side that would allow us to pay for these trips. After trying a couple of online money making hacks, I decided to Sell Avon online. In my first six months, I was able to make enough money for my family’s Orlando trip the next year.
More Than Makeup – Avon and the Hailey Hugs Initiative – A Match Made in Heaven.
While my original intent when I signed up to Sell Avon as an Avon Representative was to make enough money to take my family of five on vacation multiple times a year. But, I quickly learned that Avon was about so much more than that. And my Avon journey quickly became so much more than vacations – and it definitely became so much more than makeup. My Avon business quickly became a platform to advance my very personal cause – The Hailey Hugs Initiative.
In 2011, I was in a car accident that claimed the life of my precious 22-month old baby girl, Hailey Hallam. Hailey was your typical toddler, always far too busy to stop what she was doing to give me a hug. One day, when I had apparently asked for far too many hugs, she grasped her hands to her chest and pointed to the air. I asked her, “Are you giving me a hug through the air?”
She nodded and continued with what she was doing.
I didn’t know it at the time, but, with this simple gesture, my precious angel was creating her own timeless beauty life. Not too far down the road, she was going to have a major impact on people – at the darkest period in their life.
After she died, I decided to write a book in Hailey’s honor. I titled it “A Hug Through the Air” and it tells the story of a family with a connection that transcends Heaven and Earth. My hope was to use my book to help comfort people during their grief, but alone, the book always seemed incomplete.
So I decide to pair the book with Avon’s stuffed animal of the year. I raised enough money to fund the cost of 500 stuffed animals and paired them with a copy of my book. I called them Hailey Hugs bundles and we delivered them to people all across the country. The Hailey Hugs bundles have been donated to area hospitals, grief support organizations and individuals all over the country.
Creating Your Timeless Beauty Life with Avon
So while I’m an Avon Representative who Sells Avon Online and helps my customers Buy Avon online – I’m also trying to create that Timeless Beauty Life for myself and my family. I’m trying to make a lasting impression on the world around me through creating memories with the ones I love and through carrying on my precious angel’s name through her Hailey Hugs Initiative.
