Why Start an Avon Blog
Table of Contents
There are several reasons why you might decide to start an Avon Blog. If you love growing your Avon business as much as I do, you might want to share your passion with others.
Some people start an Avon Blog to develop a deeper connection with their customers. When customers have an easy place to go to get information about products, they can learn about the benefits of products on their own terms
An Avon Blog can also help you find new customers who are searching for an Avon Representative Online. You may be able to find new recruits when they are researching online about how to become an Avon Representative.
If you post a lot on social media, but you feel like you don’t have enough room to say everything you want to say, you can expand your social media persona on your Avon Blog.
Having an Avon Blog is a great opportunity to share your personal experiences about Avon Products. It can even be fun or cathartic to share your personal life journey and how you’ve incorporated Avon into it.

How to Start an Avon Blog
There are a few technical steps required to start your Avon Blog. Once you get your site set up initially, starting a blog is really quite simple.
When you decide to start an Avon blog, many people are overwhelmed. Below is a step by step process to the initial technical steps.
After you have your blog active, you can begin writing immediately.
The single most important tip to starting an Avon blog is to START WRITING. It’s easy to get overwhelmed with blog themes, menus, and all kinds of technical aspects of running your Avon blog.
But here’s the thing:
Each day you wait to get started, is a day longer until you reap the benefits of your Avon blog. The reason I say that is because it can take a year or more for your Avon blog to be indexed on Google.
So the most important thing is – JUST START WRITING.
Once you get your blog set up, the first thing you should do is write a personal post introducing yourself. Then set up a schedule to keep your blog consistent.
You can blog every day, once a week, or once month. It really doesn’t matter just so long as you START and remain consistent.
I always recommend to write it now and fix the aesthetics later.

How to Start an Avon Blog
Determine Your Avon Blog Investment
There are options available out there to develop an Avon blog completely for free. Or you can further personalize your brand by choosing a custom domain. You will want to decide if it is worth it to invest in your own custom domain or not.
According to Google Domains, “Simply put, a domain name (or just a domain) is the name of a website. It’s what comes after “@” in an email address, or after “www.” in a web address. If someone asks how to find you online, what you tell them is usually your domain name.”
(HINT – A custom domain looks like mine: timelessbeautylife.com. A free domain might look something like this: timelessbeautylife.wordpress.com)
You can buy a custom domain from Bluehost or GoDaddy. Or you can go to any of the following sites to set up a free account:
Wix, Blogger, WordPress.com, etc.
Choose a Hosting Plan for your Avon Blog
After you have determined whether or not you will invest in a domain, you will have to decide whether or not you plan to invest in hosting.
According to website.com, “Web hosting is a service that allows organizations and individuals to post a website or web page onto the Internet. A web host, or web hosting service provider, is a business that provides the technologies and services needed for the website or webpage to be viewed in the Internet. Websites are hosted, or stored, on special computers called servers. When Internet users want to view your website, all they need to do is type your website address or domain into their browser. Their computer will then connect to your server and your webpages will be delivered to them through the browser.”
If you choose to have a custom domain, you will have to invest in hosting. If you choose a free service, you will not have to invest in hosting.
After having used several hosting services, I have found the most reliable to be Bluehost. It’s also competitively priced, even more so if you use this link to set up your hosting.
Pay for Your Avon Blog Domain and Hosting (if applicable)
Once you have decided to make an investment in your website, you will have to choose your plan. You can choose to pay yearly. Sometimes there are discounts offered if you pay for multiple years.
I use Bluehost and GoDaddy to purchase domains and hosting. I also include the SSL certificate.
You will need to determine whether or not you want to have privacy on your domain. When you choose to pay for privacy protection, your name and contact info will not be listed or be able to be searched on the WHOIS database.
No other add-ons are necessary.
Log into your Hosting Account
If you elect to use a custom domain and hosting plan through Bluehost, you will then log on to your new account and set it up.
Set up your Avon Blog Domain
If you use Bluehost, it’s quick and easy to set up your Avon Blog domain. Simply log in and use the domains tab. You’ll see your domain name and click the drop down next to the “manage” button. Click to assign the domain. You’ll want to assign it as an assigned domain. Click “assign this domain”. Then click the home button
Start Building your Avon Blog
After you have returned to the Bluehost home screen, click on the button that says “create site”. You will need to choose a site name and tag line and click next.
Create your First Avon Blog post
Once you have set up your Avon blog and connected it to WordPress you can immediately begin to write your first blog post directly from your dashboard.
Click through “Manage Site” to access your wordpress dashboard. Click on “Add new to add a post”
You can begin writing your first Avon blog and add relevant “Headline, List, Paragraph, or Image” blocks as needed.
